Board members and Directors

Ani Patel – Chair
I have been practising as a community pharmacist for 18 years now starting off employed in the independent sector, followed by a corporate and then finally as a contractor for the last 13 years. The experiences in both the independent and corporate settings was invaluable when becoming a contractor myself.
The sector has changed dramatically in this time and the constant pressure is very draining. With diligence, a “can do” mind-set and steady navigation through the political and economic landscape both pharmacies are very much embedded into the local community primary care landscape.
The pharmacies are both very busy, have a number of staff and require a lot of attention. Delegating and empowering the team is the only way we can continue to cope with the excess demands put upon us.
Automation is a key driving factor for our sustained growth and capabilities. Embracing technology and adapting to the new challenges we face is the only way we can be successful in community pharmacy.
